Advice for families regarding funerals
Tuesday 24th March 2020
In the light of the current Coronavirus precautions and conscious of the need to protect both mourners and ministers, and after consulting with ministers and undertakers, it is the advice of the Moderator and Clerk of Presbytery, that, until further notice, ministers should only conduct a short service at the place of burial or cremation with only the immediate family present. Ministers are advised not to conduct services in a home, funeral parlour, meeting house or other church property.

Important Coronavirus update from Rev David Leach for the whole Church Family in Union Road Presbyterian Church, as of 4pm on Friday 13th March.
Many people and organisations operating within our church family are obviously anxious about the Coronavirus pandemic. As a church we are concerned about the well-being and safety of all our members from the youngest to oldest and especially the most vulnerable.
For now, please follow the sensible guidelines from the Public Health Agency and further updates will follow. We will continue to take advice but we should all be aware that disruption to our normal services and meetings is a possibility in the future.
As Christians we do not panic, we wait upon the Lord and value others more highly than ourselves.
