Who can go?
Juniors is for boys aged 8 to 11 (Primary 5 to Primary 7).
When do they meet?
Juniors meet each Monday evening in Garden Street Hall starting at 6:45pm to 7:45pm.
What do they do?
A typical Juniors night is action-packed with the boys enjoying sports, life skills training, crafts, figure marching and so much more. We also go on regular visits to places like the fire station, police station and the swimming pool. Throughout the year, boys also work towards badges which are achieved by undertaking a number of activities which are separated into five different zones.
At Juniors, we help the boys to start thinking about the meaning of the bible passages we study and how the lessons from these can make an impact on how they live and work with others. We also encourage the boys to attend a Sunday School and weekly evidence of attendance is taken into consideration as part of their annual efficiency marks.
Juniors also have the opportunity to take part in competitions with other companies from the Mid-Ulster Battalion. These competitions include indoor and outdoor football, Bible and general knowledge quizzes, figure marching and field sports.
What do they wear?
Juniors wear a special uniform which consists of:
- BB navy blue sweatshirt
- BB navy blue polo-shirt
- Grey school trousers
- Dark school shoes
- Boys also need to bring a PE kit each week to participate in the sports activities.
